Breaking the 4th wall (Part 1)


Dynamic Bio Systems Environment Production initial schedule and initial pre-production information
  • Develop initial environment concept
    • Discuss with Character Developer (Andres) what type of environment will be appropriate for the display of the character. (deadline: 1/27/14)
    • Discuss with Character Developer how the character in its environment should be displayed and if a narrative should accompany this display or declared within the environment. (deadline: 1/29/14)
  • Research similar environments
    • Find a selection of buildings that serve the requested function which has ready accessible floor plans (i.e. need a lab find a selection of research lab floor plans) available (preferably in the DFW area) (deadline: 2/11/14)
    • Find a selection of assets that would be found in said environment and find orthographic views, design specs, or Revit meshes of each item (deadline: 2/15/14)
    • Develop a basic floor plan for a 1 or 2 level building (deadline: 2/22/14)
  • Build the layout of the environment
    • Generate a floor plan in Maya/ Unity (deadline: 3/21/14)
    • Generate & Integrate structural Façade (deadline: 3/21/14)
    • Light structure (deadline: 4/19/14)
    • Texture floor plan & structural Façade (deadline: 4/27/14)
    • Generate, Texture & Integrate assets (deadline: 4/27/14)
  • Integrate developed Character
    • Place character into environment (deadline: 4/29/14)
              deadlines are subject to revision


Pre-production

  • Environment Requirement
    • According to the Character Developer’s design (Andres) with its blend of the biological and the technological a “haunted house”, “cave system”, “castle”, ect would be insufficient but a biomedical lab might fit the bill
